Palace of Arts – MÜPA

Zoboky, Demeter and Partners Architectural Office

The Palace of Arts in Budapest, a.k.a. MÜPA for short Muvészetek Palotája, is one of the most buzzing cultural and musical centres in Hungary.

Carefully crafted wooden sound proof layers were added to the structural concerte columns near the main theatre hall. Thus, delivering an acoustic experience to the audience like no other place in town.

Together with its 70,000 sqm, the MÜPA building is one of a kind when it comes to live performances and exhibitions. Clearly setting a new milestone regarding concert and exhibition buildings in Western Europe.
