Mjólkurbúið

Batteríið Architects & Hálfdán Pedersen

The Mjólkurbúið (Icelandic for Dairy Farm) is an exhibition center and food court located in the southern town of Iceland, Selfoss.

Originally designed by Guðjón Samúelsson in 1929, but demolished only 25 years later, the renovated house is the largest in the new center of Selfoss. With its 1,500 square meters, shared among three floors and connected through a magnificent central metal staircase, this building is a gem!
Carefully chosen materials, ornaments, plants and colour pallets were left in the hands of the experienced and renown interior designer Hálfdán Pedersen.
