The hotel is made up of seven buildings, new connection and extension constructions flanked by three historic bodies, each with its own peculiarities. The new hotel includes the Gamli Kvennaskólinn – The Ladies’ School – dating back to the 19th century, the Sjálfstæðishúsið –  Independence Hall ballroom, the former Landsímahúsið – Iceland Telecom Headquarters, converted in restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The hotel has 168 rooms including two stunning suites.
