House in Álftanes

This single family house located in Álftanes, Iceland is a gem in its own way.

Entirely built out of concrete, and with large glass windows overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean,  make this project stand out from the surroundings. An octagonal sun room located in the further east side, invites its users to relax and enjoy the views. A slight unevenness in the main body of the house creates a clear separation between private and common areas. To match the roughness of the exterior concrete walls, large and dark pieces of furniture decorate the interior.
