Commercial Photography
Showcasing Purpose, Design, and Social Impact
Commercial spaces are more than just buildings—they are places where people gather, collaborate, and connect.
My aim is to create imagery that highlights not only the architectural form but also the building’s function and its role within the urban fabric.
Whether it’s a corporate headquarters, a retail space, or a cultural venue throughout Iceland, Greenland, Faroe Islands and Norway, I focus on the elements that make each project unique—capturing both architectural identity and human presence.

Featured Projects
Explore some of my favorite commercial projects, where I’ve helped architects, developers, and brands bring their vision to life.
Icelandair HQ
The new Icelandair building brings together offices and training spaces in a dramatic lava-field landscape near Reykjavik. My commercial photography focuses on the silver aluminium façade and wing-shaped vertical profiles—elements that capture the spirit of aviation through movement and precision.
Inside, open atriums, warm ash wood, and terrazzo floors create bright, welcoming interiors that support focus, collaboration, and a sense of community.
Seðlabankinn
The renovation of the Central Bank of Iceland by Nordic Office of Architecture brings a new sense of openness to a historic institution. A bright central atrium, shaped by principles of nordic architecture, becomes the heart of the building.
My interior photography focuses on the calm rhythm of the space—warm timber, natural stone, and soft daylight reflect the building’s original character.
Kindergarten in Urriðaholt
This project is a purpose-built learning environment shaped by the site’s natural slope and child-friendly scale. My public building photography focuses on the stepped volumes, outdoor access, and the golden cladding that gives the architecture its playful, inviting character.
The design reflects how thoughtful architecture can support education, safety, and daily connection with nature.

Commercial photography focuses on capturing business environments and public spaces designed to accommodate diverse activities—from workspaces and retail stores to healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and entertainment venues. It goes beyond documenting the structure; it’s about reflecting how these spaces function, how they interact with people, and how they contribute to the surrounding urban landscape.
For architects, developers, and brands, high-quality visuals serve as a powerful marketing tool, elevating their projects and conveying their vision to stakeholders, clients, and the broader community. Whether used for promotional materials, websites, or publications, commercial photography is essential in establishing a strong, visual narrative.
Professional commercial photography results in a collection of images that highlight:
- The architecture and design of the commercial space—from bold facades to intricate interior details.
- The functionality of the space, emphasizing how it serves its intended purpose.
- The interaction between people and environment, showcasing engagement and connection.
- A visual narrative that reflects the brand’s values and the building’s role within the community.
These visuals are crafted to meet varied marketing needs, from corporate portfolios and advertising campaigns to social media and investor presentations. Each image is designed to communicate purpose and inspire action.
Photographing commercial spaces presents unique challenges that require a thoughtful and professional approach:
- Lighting Dynamics – Balancing natural and artificial lighting to highlight both architectural features and ambiance.
- Functional Diversity – Capturing spaces that serve multiple purposes—from collaborative offices to bustling retail environments—while maintaining a cohesive visual style.
- Human Element Integration – Including people in the imagery to showcase real-life interactions without detracting from the architectural focus.
- Reflecting Brand Identity – Ensuring the images align with the brand’s values and the purpose of the space.
- Urban Context – Framing the building within its neighborhood to highlight its role in urban development and community engagement.
These challenges are opportunities to create dynamic, compelling visuals that not only document the space but bring it to life.
My approach is rooted in understanding the purpose behind the space and translating that into compelling visual stories. I focus on:
- Purpose-Driven Design – Highlighting how architecture and design serve the space’s intended function.
- Architectural Features – Showcasing the structural elements, from modern facades to unique interior layouts.
- Contextual Storytelling – Placing the building within its urban environment to highlight its role in shaping the cityscape.
- Innovative Perspectives – Utilizing drone photography and creative angles to offer unique views of the commercial property.
Great commercial photography does more than document—it creates an emotional connection. By showcasing spaces in a way that evokes trust, innovation, and engagement, these images help potential clients, investors, and customers visualize themselveswithin the environment. They highlight not only the building’s aesthetic appeal but also its functionality and impact on the community.
Whether it’s a bustling retail space, a modern corporate office, or a vibrant cultural center, my photography ensures the essence and significance of the space are captured and conveyed.
I work as a commercial photographer throughout Iceland, Greenland, Faroe Islands and Norway. Whether it's an office building, retail space, or cultural venue, I can travel to your location and provide tailored visuals that reflect your project's purpose and design.
